Where it all began...

Meredith Ann Patterson was born the youngest of four children and raised in California's Bay Area in a small town called Pleasant Hill. Dancing, singing and performing on stage since the tender age of 3 caused Meredith (or "Merie" as her friends and family call her) to have the confidence that lead her to leave home at the age of 18 and head to New York City to fulfill her dreams of being a dancer on Broadway.

Accepted with a talent based scholarship to AMDA (The American Musical and Dramatic Academy) and awarded a scholarship at the prestigious STEPS Dance Studio on the Upper West Side, Meredith worked hard, and dreamed big.

After graduation, Meredith immediatly working in regional theater and on the road. Nominated for a Barrymore Award at the age of 19, starring in 2 National Tours at the age of 20, and signing her first Equity production contract with Madison Square Garden's show A CHRISTMAS CAROL with choreographer Susan Stroman at the age of 21.

At 22, Meredith starred as Young Phyliss in the critically acclaimed Papermill Playhouse production of Stephen Sondheim's FOLLIES (Cast Album) with one of her musical movie idol's Ann Miller.

And although Meredith considers this production of FOLLIES her first Broadway show. She actually made her Broadway debut in 2000 in Julie Taymor's play THE GREEN BIRD.
