Meredith has established herself as one of Broadway's triple threat ingenue's. Hailed by critics as an actress that is "exquisite, a beguiling delight possessing a refined touch in both physical and verbal humor." As a dancer with "a rare combination of spirit and vulnerability, and a lit-from-within radiance!" And her singing is "exquisite, she is blessed with a rich voice and has a glowing presence that permeates every note she sings, every step she dances and every line she speaks."

Meredith has started 2008 off wonderfully with her hilarious return to ABC's BOSTON LEGAL in an episode titled Roe vs Wade The Musical. After a few appearances in New York, Meredith starred as the saucy soubrette Yvette Gerard in the world premiere musical Gershwin's AN AMERICAN IN PARIS in Houston, TX, and now is returning to the Broadway stage to star as Judy Haynes in the Broadway production of Irving Berlin's White Christmas.

2007 proved very busy for Meredith as she wrapped filming on MY FATHER'S WILL (2008). S
tarred as Kit Baker in Irving Berlin's FACE THE MUSIC for City Center Encores! (cast album is now available on DRG Records), starred as Anna Stone in NYMF's original 1956 jazz musical GOING DOWN SWINGIN, guest starred as Melinda on CBS's GUIDING LIGHT, returning to her hilarious role of Missy on ABC's BOSTON LEGAL and reprised her role of Judy Haynes in the Boston company of the musical WHITE CHRISTMAS.

Meredith lived the classic understudy's dream come true in 2001 when she took over the starring role of Peggy Sawyer in the Tony Award Winning Revival of 42nd ST, making her Broadway musical debut. Meredith's dream came true every performance, starring on Broadway in what's been deemed the best female tap dancing role in theater history from August 2001-August 2002. She also was the first only non-original principal to be recorded for prosperity with the prestigious Lincoln Center Archives. When her contract was up on Broadway Meredith was asked to star in a groundbreaking production of 42ND ST in Moscow. Being the first American Actress to perform in an English speaking production in Russia.

In the summer of 2003, she graced the stage as Polly Browne in THE BOY FRIEND under the direction of the legendary Julie Andrews. In February 2004, Meredith made her Los Angeles theater debut starring as Louise Maske in Steve Martin’s hilarious adaptation of the play THE UNDERPANTS at The Geffen Playhouse for which she received critical acclaim. That winter, Meredith was delighted to be asked to originate the role of Judy Haynes in the highly anticipated musical, Irving Berlin’s WHITE CHRISTMAS .

Meredith television debut came soon after
guest starring in numerous episodes as the hilarious Mrs. Missy Tiggs on ABC's Boston Legal opposite series regular Candace Bergen, and fellow guest star Tom Selleck

Meredith's feature film debut came in 1999 as Marilyn Monroe in Paramount Classics COMPANY MAN. She can be seen opposite the hilarious Bill Murray in the 2005 Focus Features Film BROKEN FLOWERS, directed by Jim Jarmusch, as Lady Alyssa in Disney's THE PRINCESS DIARIES II: ROYAL ENGAGEMENT, in Sidney Lumet Feature BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU'RE DEAD, and co-starring as Catherine 'Cat' Curtis in the upcoming MY FATHER'S WILL.

Meredith resides in New York City with her husband, actor Shonn Wiley.

Where it all began....
 
Meredith Ann Patterson was born the youngest of four children and raised in California's Bay Area in a small town called Pleasant Hill. Dancing, singing and performing on stage since the tender age of 3 caused Meredith (or "Merie" as her friends and family call her) to have the confidence that lead her to leave home at the age of 18 and head to New York City to fulfill her dreams of being a dancer on Broadway.

Accepted with a talent based scholarship to AMDA (The American Musical and Dramatic Academy) and awarded a scholarship at the prestigious STEPS Dance Studio on the Upper West Side, Meredith worked hard, and dreamed big.

After graduation, Meredith immediatly working in regional theater and on the road. Nominated for a Barrymore Award at the age of 19, starring in 2 National Tours at the age of 20, and signing her first Equity production contract with Madison Square Garden's show A CHRISTMAS CAROL with choreographer Susan Stroman at the age of 21.

At 22, Meredith starred as Young Phyliss in the critically acclaimed Papermill Playhouse production of Stephen Sondheim's FOLLIES (Cast Album) with one of her musical movie idol's Ann Miller.

And although Meredith consides this production of FOLLIES her first Broadway show. She actually made her Broadway debut in 2000 in Julie Taymor's play THE GREEN BIRD.
